Having a small business is all about managing all the different hats throughout the day.  You are the owner, the marking department and so much more.

Here are some tips to help you amplify your online presence:

1. Have a professional logo and use it consistently
Large organizations and brands regularly have “brand standards” that oversee how they can utilize their logos, colors, and how it tends to be altered. It’s critical to keep your brand image consistent across all platforms and media for brand awareness as well as professionalism.

2. Have a user friendly website
Social media is not a good substitute for a website.  Your company needs a professional website that is user friendly and relevant to your industry.

3. Update/Claim your business listing
Search Engines like Google and Bing will let you list your business information within your search results.  Your business listing can show users relevant information such as your business hours, services, location, and even additional images.  You can control your business information by claiming and updating your business listing online.

4. Have a current social media presence
Choose what social media platform is best to reach your audience.  This will allow you to find new leads and create a two-way conversation with your clients.

5. Use Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a free tool that lets you see how many visitors are coming to your site, how long they are staying, and how they got there.  Using this data will help you get a better understating of your online presence.

6. Maintain what your customers see
Search your company on Google and Bing.  Look at what information your potential customers are seeing.  Is your information correct? Does your business come up when you search certain keywords?  Who are your competitors?
